Video: Thank You for Making Progress Possible in 2024

by | Jan 3, 2025

There are so many ways that LFA donors, fundraisers, advocates and volunteers changed the lives of people with lupus and their loved ones last year, including:

  • Fueling Pioneering Lupus Research: Donors’ generosity in 2024 enabled us to fund groundbreaking research with the power to transform lives, including studies on the gut’s influence on lupus nephritis, efforts to improve pregnancy outcomes for individuals with lupus, and predicting and preventing the disease for future generations. And the input of participants in our patient and caregiver registry, RAY – Research Accelerated by You, is making the future of lupus research and clinical trials possible.
  • Expanding Access to Essential Support Services: Through your support, we continued to expand access to critical resources that help people with lupus better manage their disease, including the SELF self-care app and personalized guidance from our Health Education Specialists.
  • Launching New Support Groups: With the incredible partnership of our support group facilitators, we launched new support groups including a “Lupus 101” for those recently diagnosed, the “Lupus Warrior Well” to provide spiritual encouragement and community, and other local groups across the country.
  • Increasing Access to Educational Programs: Our Lupus & You educational events, led by expert speakers, reached nearly 10,000 people nationwide, providing each attendee with the latest information and research on lupus.

Thank you for standing with us in 2024 and making progress like this – and so much more – possible. We look forward to the year ahead with this incredible community by our side.
