The Lupus Foundation of America, the national force devoted to solving the cruel mystery of lupus, announced the election of two new members to its board of directors, Brian Antonsen, Senior Vice President at McKinstry, and Theresa Juday, Executive Director of Special Product Innovation for CVS Health. Antonsen and Juday, along with other members of the board, will provide leadership to the Foundation’s efforts to bring national attention and increased public and private resources to the fight against lupus.

Ms. Juday, diagnosed with lupus in 1997, has been an active supporter of the Lupus Foundation of America, fielding lupus walk teams in both Chicago and Phoenix for the last 16 years and serving as the West Suburban Chicago walk co-chair from 2007-2014. Professionally, she leads a team at CVS Health responsible for developing innovative strategies for improving specialty pharmacy experiences for members, payers and providers. Ms. Juday serves on the digital therapeutics advisory board for the AMCP (Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy), a professional association dedicated to helping patients get the medications they need at a cost they can afford.

“I am honored to bring my experience of living with lupus and my passion for addressing issues of access to care to the Lupus Foundation of America. I look forward to helping the organization support the lupus community while raising awareness of this devastating disease,” said Juday.

For over 20 years, Mr. Antonsen has served in leadership roles at McKinstry, a national contractor specializing in consulting, construction, energy, and facility services. He has been an avid supporter of the Lupus Foundation of America’s Pacific Northwest region since 2014, when he started the successful GBQ golf tournament fundraiser (Golf, Beer & BBQ). In 2020, he became a founding member of the Pacific Northwest region’s Leadership Council. Mr. Antonsen’s partner, Abbey, was diagnosed with lupus early in her teen years, and provides him with his passion to support the work of the Foundation.

“This is an exciting time to be joining the national board and build upon the incredible progress we continue to see with more lupus treatments and improved care,” said Antonsen. “I look forward to working with the rest of the board to do everything we possibly can to improve the quality of life for all people affected by lupus.”

“We are thrilled to welcome Brian Antonsen and Theresa Juday to the Lupus Foundation of America’s National Board of Directors,” said Mary T. Crimmings, Interim CEO and Senior Vice President for Marketing and Communications at the Lupus Foundation of America. “Their leadership experience and demonstrated commitment to a life free of lupus will be a tremendous asset to the organization.”
