Lupus Awareness Month
Lupus Awareness Month
May is Lupus Awareness Month! It is a name to be taken literally. We put extra effort into letting the world know about lupus. We educate communities and join together to raise funds and awareness for lupus. We let the world know what lupus is, how it affects patients, and what can be done to find the cause(s) and a cure.
This year World Lupus Day is on May 10 and we want to make lupus visible using the power of social media! Let’s show everyone the many faces of lupus by taking a picture of yourself supporting all those with lupus. Dress in purple, tell your story, or simply share something inspiring to spread the word about lupus and the toll is can have on others! Make sure to tag us too!
Don’t want to post something on social media, make a donation instead! A donation to The Lupus Foundation of America, Greater Ohio Chapter goes a long way in helping our organization provide services, programs, and events for patients with lupus. You can even make a memorial donation for someone who was lost to lupus. No matter your reason, a donation is always appreciated!
We can make lupus visible during Lupus Awareness Month by educating friends, family, and others about lupus and it’s affects. There are many ways you can get involved during the month of May. Here are some ideas:
