Today, the Lupus Foundation of America and a coalition of leading national patient advocacy organizations issued a statement on the impact of H.R. 1, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act that was passed by the United States Senate. The bill significantly cuts Medicaid funding and undermines health coverage for people with lupus across the country and millions of others who rely on the program for their health care.
It is imperative that members of Congress understand that Medicaid is a lifeline for many of their constituents living with lupus. The program must be strengthened, not cut, and we will continue our advocacy to ensure people with lupus have access to the health care they need as they fight this disease.
